This Is What The Logo Looks Like For The Power Rangers Reboot

So you know that it's really happening.

For anyone who wasn't sure whether Power Rangers was actually getting the remake/reboot treatment or if Hollywood had just committed to an incredibly long and elaborate joke, this brand new image of the new logo - unveiled by Lionsgate - should set the record straight:

Look at it. It's all jagged and edgy, just like this (probably) gritty reboot, which is set to star a cast of relative newcomers as the titular force and the wonderful Elizabeth Banks as villain Rita Repulsa - perfect.

The franchise, which started out as a TV series that ran from 1993 to 1995, chronicled the adventures of a group of teens who battle an alien threat as their alter-egos: The Power Rangers. The costumes were very elaborate.

The series went on to sell countless toys and merchandising, and also spawned a terrible film back in 1995. We didn't know it was terrible at the time, though; everyone who loved Power Rangers thought it was the best thing ever.

As such, the series is a basis of nostalgia for a generation of '90s kids; there was really nothing better than waking up on a Saturday morning to watch a group of badass, colour-coded teens facing off against the forces of evil. It makes sense that Hollywood would want to cash in those precious memories, because you will go and see this, won't you? Thought so. See you there.
