On the slate for a November 2013 release, the sequel to Kenneth Branaghs
Thor will be the second of Marvels post-
Avengers big-screen ventures behind Shane Blacks
Iron Man 3 next year. Whilst the original stands as one of the most fun of all the Marvel Studios flicks, there are some things we hope to see included in
Thor: The Dark World when it hits our screens in thirteen months time.
1. Bigger Battle Scenes

Given the worlds of the
Thor comic books, the franchise has huge scope and a lot of potential for bigger conflict than what we witnessed in the rather tame original. Since the departure of both Kenneth Branagh and his initial replacement director Patty Jenkins (
Monster) from the project, Marvel have handed
Game of Thrones ace Alan Taylor the reigns, and given his work in the Seven Kingdoms, theres potential for some very cool, epic battles in
The Dark World.
Thor: The Dark World should therefore become the
Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back or
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers of sequels and look to expand everything that was done in the original. Click "next" below for part 2...
