Thor: Love And Thunder - 10 Things You Need To Know About Christian Bale's Gorr The God Butcher

9. He's Killed Countless Gods

Gorr the God Butcher
Marvel Comics

Killing a single god sounds like one of the most difficult tasks possible, even in the world of comics. But to kill every god? That sounds downright impossible.

After being blessed with the All-Black, there was virtually no one that could stand against Gorr. No self-titled "immortal" has ever come close to defeating Gorr, and only a handful have survived an encounter with him (Thor included). With his newfound might, the God Butcher has spent 3,000 years travelling from planet to planet, annihilating entire pantheons.

Gorr has eliminated every conceivable deity, including Gods of Jealousy, Blood, Revenge, Genocide, Plagues, Fear, and Chaos. He has killed Gods of Death - which is a bit ironic - more times than he can count. The God Butcher has tormented and mutilated Gods of Torture until they cried and whimpered like children.

According to Gorr, there is no deity that is off limits. He detests the concept of worshipping a higher being so much, he has wiped out the Gods of Poetry and Flowers. Even though these beings couldn't pose a threat to him or anyone, he still refused to show mercy. He will never stop until the universe is godless.
