5. Mighty Thor Returns & Dies
Sensing that Gorr is winning the fight against Thor, a bed-ridden Jane can't sit out the fight any longer and decides to rejoin it as Mighty Thor.
She gets a great moment where she admonishes Gorr for calling her "Lady Thor," aggressively insisting that she be called Mighty Thor or Dr. Jane Foster, and ends up using her Thor powers to both defeat Gorr and destroy the Necrosword.
However, this comes at a mortal cost for Jane, who succumbs to her cancer in the Eternity portal, albeit not before getting a sweet parting moment with Thor.
At the very end of the film, we see that a statue to Mighty Thor has been built on New Asgard, and in the film's post-credits scene, it's revealed that Jane was granted passage to the Gates of Valhalla, where she's met by Heimdall.
Jane Foster may have been a pretty dull character for almost her entire MCU tenure, but they finally did her solid justice here. If this is the last time we see Jane, it's a fitting end for her.
