Thor: Ragnarok - 10 Reasons It's The Best Thor Movie

10. There's No Forced Romance

Arguably the worst thing about the first two Thor movies is the shoehorned romance between Thor and Jane Foster. It's haphazardly introduced in the first film because the producers just needed the two hot leads to get together despite the lack of a believable build-up or palpable chemistry between Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman.

The Dark World doubled down on the relationship, making it a focal part of the movie, and while it didn't seem quite so forced, it was still a wildly unnecessary addition to the story.

Well, with Ragnarok taking place off-Earth and Portman seemingly being done with the MCU, their relationship is no more. Though many fans suspected pre-release that Thor might end up hooking up with Valkyrie, or Sif might become his new love, there was no romance to speak of during the film, and it was all the better for it.
