Thor: Ragnarok - 13 Rumours That Were Utter Bull

2. Doctor Strange Actually Has A Huge Role

The Rumour: Though it was known long ago that Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange would have a small supporting role in Ragnarok, this seemed to change at the start of the year, when an official synopsis directly referred to Strange teaming up with Thor and The Hulk to stop Ragnarok.

Understandably, fans thought it was pretty fishy to include a side attraction in the main plot summary, and figured Strange's role had been beefed up during production.

The Truth: The fans were totally right to be all over this, but oddly enough, Strange's role isn't more than about ten minutes, and he disappears well before the end of the first act.

It's worth mentioning that Strange's name wasn't included in any subsequent synopses for the film, suggesting that Marvel realised how misleading their previous one was.
