12. Thor Dies & Goes To Hel

The Rumour: With the movie's title being Ragnarok and all, there was a pretty decent assumption that Thor would probably die at some point in the movie and be sent to Hel, from which he'd have to extricate himself, likely with some help from The Hulk.

After all, Thor's the one MCU character who can die and come back without it seeming overly contrived, so why not do it?

The Truth: Thor survives the entire movie without suffering too much, and certainly never ends up in Hel, even if he does fight the demonic Surtur at the beginning of the film.

No dice, sadly, because it would've been incredibly cool to see Hel realised with this film's barmy visual style.
