Thor: The Dark World Trailer Screenshots - 50 HD Images

Thor Dark World 5 Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios unleashed the very first trailer for Thor: The Dark World this morning and it has left the internet purring in anticipating. What Culture's Tom Barnard has already wrote a long feature about his reaction to the trailer and has posed his questions from the footage we've seen. That really is a must read if you haven't checked it out already. For me, I love the darker tone this follow-up promises. Of course it's the vogue thing to make sequels much darker (just look at Star Trek Into Darkness that comes out in a few weeks!) but this trailer hints towards some bleak and heavy problems for our favourite "Mighty Avenger". My appreciation of the original Thor has grown a bit through repeat viewings. I wasn't particularly fond of Kenneth Branagh's haphazard direction or the overly comical tone, but over time I've realised that it may have been the only way to introduce the larger than life "God of Thunder" to our screens. Any other attempt would probably have looked ridiculous. Now that we've had two movies to get comfortable with the character, it looks like this one is going to throw us deeper into the universe of the nine realms and into the world of Asgaard. This is where this franchise starts to get real and I'm extremely keen to take the ride. Directed by Game of Thrones helmer and TV Veteran Alan Taylor, Thor: The Dark World will hit our screens in November and after the placeholder that is Iron Man 3 (which seems to do its best to avoid the last film's criticism of just being a setup for The Avengers, as barely anything is hinted at as to what's next) and it looks like it'll be a key release in Marvel Phase Two. Fresh off the trailer, here's 50 HD screenshots from Thor: The Dark World for you to study over. Are there any clues we've missed?
