'Tis But A Monty Python Quiz!
Pining for the fjords? Maybe this quiz will take your mind off it.
Since the birth of the British Broadcasting Corporation in 1922, comedy has been a large factor in the British entertainment industry. Iconic and enduring household names such as Dave Allen, Tommy Cooper, The Two Ronnies, Charlie Chaplin, Frankie Howard, Morecambe & Wise and dozens of other immortal names have dominated the world famous scene of British comedy over the decades.
However, few (if any) comedic groups have managed to match the hilarity and genius of Monty Python. Consisting of John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Michael Palin, Graham Chapman and Terry Jones, Monty Python were the leading force in British comedy throughout the 1970's. Initially earning their reputation as era defining comedians thanks to the BBC series Monty Python's Flying Circus, Monty Python would later branch into film and produced some timeless comedy movies.
Monty Python's satirical and surreal style of humour spread to cinema in the form three films, 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail', 'Life of Brian' and finally 'The Meaning of Life'. Although a quiz on Flying Circus would be equally entertaining, this quiz will focus specifically on testing your knowledge on the Monty Python films.
