Tobey Maguire settles for MR. GOOD ENOUGH

Magurie to produce a movie that takes a negative look at the continuing search for Mr. Right.

It's the third new project in two weeks for Tobey Maguire though I very much doubt he will star in this one!

Variety say the Spider-Man actor and his production company Maguire Entertainment have struck a deal with Warner Independent to turn an upcoming book titled Marry Him! The Case for Settling for Mr. Good Enough into a feature film.

The non-fiction story from author and NPR commentator Lori Gottlieb dealing with her own experiences of giving birth and raising on her own a baby conceived from a sperm donation takes a negative view on holding out for Mr. Right (because she claims he isn't likely to exist). Her article on the subject originated in the March edition of Atlantic Monthly where it caught the eye of not WIP who agreed to finance Gottlieb's own adaptation for a book and now this film. You can read the 5,000 word odd article HERE.
"My advice is this: settle! That's right. Don't worry about passion or intense connection. Don't nix a guy based on his annoying habit of yelling "Bravo! in movie theaters. Overlook his halitosis or abysmal sense of aesthetics. Because if you want to have the infrastructure in place to have a family, settling is the way to go."
Women who marry for the sake of having a family scare me! Will this be turned into a Katherine Heigl vehicle or are WIP more likely to go for a Juno-style narrative with some real resonance and emotion?
