5. Eames (Inception)
In what is arguably Tom Hardy's first blockbuster film, he was given a character that would set the tone for the other characters he would eventually play in the years to follow. Eames was the prototype of the MSLS type (misunderstood-slick-loner-softy) and is strangely similar to the way Hardy holds himself in real life. He was a misunderstood loner - not the "emo" type mind you, just that he was misunderstood
as a loner - as he preferred working alone and through illusions while he was also a slick softy as his friendly rivalry with Arthur showed. He was quick-witted, clever, and the recipe for a popular character. He easily stuck out from the large cast with the help of a little charisma, but seeing as how he wasn't as well known as Leonardo DiCaprio for example, no one really thought too much about him. Not much else I can say.
