Tomb Raider Trailer Breakdown: 17 Things You Need To See
5. Some Actual Tomb Raiding
And while the 2013 game was criticised for its general lack of actual tomb raiding, the movie does seem to feature Lara exploring at least one.
This is most likely The Mother of Death, the tomb Lara's father told her about earlier, which she reaches by abseiling in. Lara is later shown turning some sort of handle, but it's unlikely fans will get to see Lara partaking in any particularly clever puzzling, because it's hard to make that element of the games translate well to this medium.
Over these images, Richard Croft lays out Lara's mission with more trite dialogue: "Close the tomb once and for all. The fate of humanity is now in your hands." Yawn.
