14. Kristin Scott Thomas Is In This!?

At this point pretty much everyone is surprised to learn that Alicia Vikander and Dominic West aren't the only two great actors lured into this: the legendary Kristin Scott Thomas is also in the mix as Lara's mother, Lady Amelia Croft.

Amelia tells her daughter, "Lara, your father's gone. You can pick up where he left off. I see so much of him in you", clearly encouraging her to venture off on some new adventures.

It's a shame Thomas will most likely have no more than a few minutes of screen time to pay some bills, but she can elevate even the most rote material, so it's better to have her than not, right?
