This poster design is so played out that it's actually become annoying to come across in a movie theater. The extreme close-up overlaid with text denotes the importance of the main character, which is fair enough, as this film is ostensibly about Mark Watney's (Matt Damon) struggle to stay alive whilst stranded on Mars. But seeing as a) this film had a great ensemble cast who were all integral to the plot and b) a couple of different posters which were great to look at, this main theatrical one-sheet just felt uninspired and dull.
