5. Pacific Playland - Zombieland (2009)
After the smash hit of Shaun of the Dead it seemed like there was nowhere the zom-com sub-genre could feasibly go. And then along came Zombieland. The film is a hilarious riff on zombie films led by Jessie Eisenbergs pedantic Columbus and Woody Harrelsons bad-ass, Twinky-loving Tallahassee, sent to greatness by one of the best cameos in recent years. Itd be easy for the film to stagnate after the sterling celebrity appearance, but it goes on to up the ante with a brilliant finale at an amusement park. Deceptive Witchia (Emma Stone) and her younger sister Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) have reached the assumed haven of Pacific Playland, only to attract hordes of zombies with the bright lights of the park. In sequence full of zombie fighting while on rides, the highlight is Tallahassee riding one of the parks coasters while pumping lead into the nearby undead. Its one of the few times when a film accurately recreates the sensation of a ride (albeit a slower one), with a great camera angle sticking to the back of the car, following all the sudden, sharp turns. The zombie presence lends the rides an increased tension, making the experience truly thrilling. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CR4oV2-6eFY
