1. Cat in the Brain/Nightmare Concert (1990)
A Fulci film had to make it on to the list. And as I am the author, I get to make my own choice. Mwah ha ha! I have chosen the utterly diabolical Cat in the Brain - a film so terrible it borders on demented genius. Fulci plays himself, a horror film director who is increasingly troubled by visions from his most violent movies. He goes to see a psychiatrist who hypnotises him in some way to believe that he is carrying out terrible murders against women when it is really the work of the mad psychiatrist. Highlights include the fakest looking cat in the world eating the fakest looking brains. Fulci directing a depraved Nazisploitation film - "do it to her! Do it to her! Lick it hard! Faster! Faster!", the dismemberment of rubbery limbs and a happy ending for Fulci - speeding off in a boat with a beautiful model drinking champagne. All ingredients for a Eurotrash film present and correct!
