6. Carter Verone - 2 Fast 2 Furious
Carter Verone is played by Cole Hauser in the 2003 film, 2 Fast 2 Furious. The film also stars Paul Walker and Tyrese Gibson as Brian O'Conner and the introduction of Roman Pearce whom we have all grown to love as the comedic individual from the family. First off by no means am I saying that Cole Hauser did a terrible job, with the resources and the character he was told to portray, I believe he did a good job; but obviously not as good as the remaining five because of the type of character he played, and what he actually had to do in the film itself. Verone is an Argentinean drug lord whose organization the U.S. Customs Service sent Monica and later Brian and Roman to infiltrate. I would say Carter Verone is a lot more intimidating than other villains in the franchise because of his ruthless attitude, ordering his henchmen to kill anyone at anytime if they do not do the job according to his wishes. For me, that is also a negative as most of the other Fast and Furious villains are more hands-on, they get involved more and don't send out others to do their dirty work for them, like Takashi for example in Tokyo Drift; he does it all himself. I think the writers did a good job of making sure that Carter is this big-time drug lord who has it all, and I think the story revolving around him was good also; but for me the reason he is at number six in the countdown is because I just don't feel he is that real badass villain, which he should have been; if he was a lot more hands on and got involved a lot more rather than ordering his men around to do the work; I believe he would definitely be one of the better villains. Acting-wise; a great job by Hauser but by no means is he one of the best villains this franchise has produced, primarily because I believe he was vastly underused. His presence was certainly the most intimidating, but that alone is not enough to be deemed as the greatest villain from the Fast and Furious franchise.
