21 looks to be the film that OCEAN'S ELEVEN would be if it was played serious. And that might not be a bad thing at all.

The movie stars Jim Sturgess as a mathematical genius who is convinced by his fellow students and teacher that he could take down Vegas casino's and win millions by putting his skills towards card counting. What makes this so much more interesting than your run of the mill casino thriller is that this tale is actually based on a true story and is chronicled in the book BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE...

The trailer has done it's job for me. I not only wanna see the movie but I am actually interested in now reading the book too.

Spacey looks fine, Sturgess looks to be a real interesting actor (you might have seen him in ACROSS THE UNIVERSE). That dude from DISTURBIA looks hilariously funny again and finally Kate Bosworth is playing a character who more closely suits her age.

21 comes out in the Spring from director Robert Luketic. He brought us MONSTER-IN-LAW, BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE and LEGALLY BLONDE but let's not hold that against him shall we?
