Transformers 4: 5 Human Characters Who Deserve More Storylines
As a child of the '80's, I vividly remember the days of "Robots in Disguise." Names like Megatron and Optimus Prime were familiar to me in the same way that I remembered She-Ra and Skeletor. It was a wonderful bridging of the generations when I got to watch the 2007 Transformers movie with my 8-year-old nephew. I have taken a more active role in the fandom since then and, after seeing Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, began a collaborative writing project called the Botosphere. We have four college-educated women who meet on a regular basis to geek out about all things which are "more than meets the eye." Our affiliated Yahoo! Group comprises over 80 members. On a regular basis, I pull out my camera and snap a picture of a yellow Camaro or a station wagon wearing a Decepticon symbol. The reason I tell this is not to simply brag about my geek cred. It is to illustrate that the series that we first encountered when I was a very young child is still very much an influence in American media. We have enjoyed and/or endured three live-action movies so far and a fourth one is currently in production. With that in mind, let us look at 5 characters whose stories should have been fleshed out more. (And yes, I am sticking with humans because if we went into all of the 'bots who should have been in the movies, we'd be here for another article. Maybe I'll do that next.)
