18. Megan Fox & Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
Paramount PicturesOne blink-and-you'll-miss-it reference to the previous movies occurs in the first three minutes of Age of Extinction, as Marky Mark pulls up and T.J. Miller's comic relief character comes to meet him. As he crosses the street, he notices two sexy young ladies and remarks, "Look at these two junebugs!", while the camera lingers on them for roughly two seconds. While it wouldn't be outside of Michael Bay's remit to linger lovingly on the female form, especially when it's stick-thin and large-bosomed, something caught out eye about who these girls remind us of. So, the first girl is a tall blonde, and the second has jet black hair. Could it be that this pair are a quick callback to Megan Fox and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's respective roles as Mikaela and Carly in the previous films? Considering that they're essentially leaving the scene by walking away while Wahlberg and Miller watch their posteriors, is it not symbolic of Mikaela and Carly's departures from the franchise, and a passing of the torch to Nicola Peltz's Tessa?
