Transformers: Age Of Extinction - First Trailer Spot

Transformers: Age of Extinction will be exploding into theatres on July 10th, 2014.

For those who secretly hoped that the promise of a fourth Transformers movie had just been some cruel joke put upon us by Hollywood, the first TV spot has arrived to prove that nope, this thing is really happening, and it's going to be as Transformers-like as you'd expect. Yes, the first glimpse at some actual footage from Michael Bay's upcoming toy-based sequel, subtitled Age of Extinction, was offered up at yesterday's Superbowl. Check it out below: This is first movie in the franchise to lose protagonist Shia LaBeouf, of course, replacing him with Boston badass Mark Wahlberg, and a supporting cast which consists of newcomer Nicola Peltz (she, too, will presumably find herself photographed inappropriately by Michael Bay), Jack Reynor, and veterans Stanley Tucci and Kelsey Grammer. Crammed in amongst various shots of Mark Wahlberg looking confused and covered with dirt, then, we can also glimpse some blurry, incomprehensible shots of robots fighting one another, which has become a sort of trademark of the series. There's also a shot of a Transformer descending to Earth via parachute, which is... new? Of course, the highlight of the trailer is presumably supposed to be the parts featuring the dinosaur Transformers. Oh, extinction! Now we get it. Transformers: Age of Extinction will be exploding into theatres on July 10th, 2014. What do you make of the trailer? Let us know in the comments section below.
