TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON To Torment Your Sanity 48 Hours Earlier

If after Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides you are somehow still craving paycheque cinema from studio blockbusters with bigger budgets than some small countries, fear not because Michael Bay's gigantic Transformers: Dark of the Moon now but a little over a month away now. And for those who really dig the robotic clattering actioner, Paramount have revealed that the film's release has been bumped up by two days from Friday July 1st to Wednesday 29th June in the U.K. and the U.S. (actually everywhere except Japan and China)- so basically your brain can be insulted 48 hours earlier. The reason for the change is that Paramount are hugely excited about the 3rd film in the series they will soon release, according to an insider at Deadline who said;
€œEarly response to footage, especially the 3D footage, has been great so we want to get the word out that this film is as good or better than the first and much better than the last.€
Nikki Finke reminds us that Transformers: Dark of the Moon has absolutely NO action competition in the week before and the week directly after the film's release and with such a global release day and date, there's little in the way of this movie making a gazillion dollars.
