Transformers: The Last Knight Review: 5 Ups & 6 Downs

1. It's Better Than The Second & Fourth Movies

Though it's marginally earned the worst reviews of the series so far, in actual fact The Last Knight is an improvement over the second and fourth movies, not only being less offensive and embarrassing as already mentioned, but also clocking in a little shorter.

Though it still struggled to one-up the insane hour-long finale of Dark of the Moon, the set-pieces are largely a lot of fun. Yes, it's still beholden to a lot of the issues that have plagued the franchise since day one, but it's nowhere near the trainwreck that was the last film in particular.

Free of bloat and touting considerably less eye-rolling moments, it's not a great movie or even really a good one, but it is something of a step in the right direction, kinda?
