Turns Out Batman V Superman Isn't Actually About The Fight At All

Plot synopsis reveals they'll be SUPER FRIENDS.

When it was first announced, Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel looked like a straight up Versus between Batman and Superman. And while the movie now known as Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice will no doubt spend plenty of time on the conflict between Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent, the newly released official synopsis suggests that's only part of the story:

Fearing the actions of a god-like superhero left unchecked, Gotham City€™s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis€™s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it€™s ever known before.
That threat is probably going to be Doomsday because he's been perpetually rumoured into the film, whose production is a leaky as holey rusted metal, and fits the overblown approach Snyder's been employing thus far. The bigger thing here, however, is the basic confirmation that Dawn Of Justice is going to wind up being a World's Finest movie (something I suggested way back in January 2014, just sayin'). Of course there's going to be the titular battle, set-up in the trailer, but expect that to be cleared up by the halfway point ahead of the threat of alien monsters/Jesse Eisenberg.
