TWILIGHT clips & Entertainment Weekly cover!

I continue to be amazed by the substantial legion of fans author Stephenie Meyer (God, I once mis-spelt her name and I got several dozen rather unfriendly complaints!) has amassed in such a small space of time, and it seemingly has no limit. Is she the new J.K. Rowling? Well it's only been three years since her first novel in this series Twilight stormed onto the scene and her readers are certainly younger than the average Potter fan (13ish in this case) and they don't have the critical acclaim but I can honestly say I've never seen such rabid fans for a written series outside of the comic book industry of Lord of the Rings universe. I don't think you are quite prepared for just how big this movie is going to be. Here's the cover of this week's Entertainment Weekly...

And kindly Summit Entertainment have sent us through some new clips for the much anticipated upcoming feature. Still looks to be like a poor vamp's Buffy "The Vampire" Slayer but there ya go. In the talkback for the release of the first trailer, it was suggested that there wasn't enough boobs or explosions for my male testosterone. Yeah, I'm sure that's it! The movie opens at Christmas time from director Catherine Hardwicke (Thirteen, Lords of Dogtown) and stars Kristen Stewart as a teenager who is drawn to the weird kid next door (Robert Pattinson) who just happens to be part of a family of vampires!
