TWILIGHT only fun for fans?

As expected, the critics have come down pretty harsh on TWILIGHT. Not quite calling it unwatchable but falling more down on the negative than the positive side. But this movie is critic proof at the end of the day. Stephenie Meyer's books have a huge legion of fans that will make this movie $60 million plus this weekend and eventually a billion dollar film franchise. Probably not HARRY POTTER but maybe as big as Buffy the Vampire Slayer come movie three.Rotten Tomatoes scored it at 44% from 77 reviews, 43 of them negative. IMDB give it 5.5 after 2,195 votes. But both Harry Knowles and Roger Ebert, two critics I respect a great deal found it entertaining but not a patch on the Swedish horror LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, which our very own Ray DeRousse called the greatest vampire film of all time. If you do see TWILIGHT, make sure you leave a comment as to how you found the movie. Sadly, as most of us are based in the U.K, it's gonna be a while before we can review it as it doesn't open for another month here.
