Two Time Academy Award winner in a Hammer Horror Movie!

This is more like it. After the "straight to Internet" crap that was BEYOND THE RAVE, the first Hammer Horror movie in two decades which supposedly "revived" the label, we are actually now seeing some ambition from the nearly reformed studio. They have spent big bucks on securing two time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank to lead THE RESIDENT, a original thriller that will shoot next May. It's just a shame that with THE REAPING, Swank has already shown she ain't bankable or useful in this genre.

Swank will play a doctor who moves into a Brooklyn loft. Becoming suspicious that she's not alone in her new home, she discovers her landlord is a stalker.
Antti J. Jokinen will make his feature directing debut from a script he co-wrote with Robert Orr (UNDERWORLD 3) which has just gone through a re-write polish from Erin Cressida Wilson (SECRETARY). Jokinen is the co-founder of Finland's largest TV and film producer Solar Films and has directed several t.v. episodes in his homeland. He has also directed music videos for Will Smith, Beyonce, Eminem and Korn...

Hammer Horror have just wrapped THE WAKE WOOD starring Timothy Spall and Brian Gleeson which has been shooting in Ireland and the studio is hopeful next year will see the return of Hammer Horror in cinema's.
