Universal Studios Hollywood announced that a brand new Fast & Furious rollercoaster will soon be racing into the park.

The thrilling attraction will take guests into the heart of one of the film industry's most successful franchises. The new attraction will be built with a "state-of-the-art ride system" taking advantage of "innovative and technological achievements" that are brand new to the theme park.

So far there's not been any indication as what fans of the "Fast & Furious" movies can expect from the new coaster. If the attraction is anything like Universal Orlando Resort's latest ride "VelociCoaster" then we can expect a thrilling treat.

The new Fast & Furious coaster is not the first one to appear at the parks. Guests on the park's studio tour find themselves in right in the middle of a Fast & Furious movie as Dominic Toretto and the rest of his family take on Owen Shaw. Whilst those in the east coast Orlando park experience a similar stand alone attraction.

There's no word yet on when the new coaster will open, but if the ride opens as quickly as the brand new Nintendo World did, it won't be long before we are racing through Hollywood.
