Her Private Hell is the first film from the great Nicolas Winding Refn in an entire decade, since 2016's The Neon Demon, and takes place in a futuristic metropolis that's enveloped in a strange mist, all while a troubled young woman searches for her father.

Said young woman will be played by Yellowjackets and Companion star Sophie Thatcher, who is one of the more compelling rising actors regularly working in genre cinema.

From the single still we've seen of the film so far, Thatcher is clearly a perfect fit for Refn's neon-splashed world, and considering the filmmaker has described his new film as "unhinged" above all else, he's certainly found himself a fearless lead actress capable of going to some daring places.

But regardless of how Refn's latest turns out - and one can probably assume it'll be pretty damn divisive - Thatcher might well deliver her most unforgettable work to date.
