20 Upcoming Movie Sequels That Might Be Better Than The First
14. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come
2019's horror comedy Ready or Not was an absolute hoot, but it also felt like a clear one-off story, given that the ending tied off every last hanging thread pretty damn neatly.
And so while one might instinctively scoff at the mere existence of Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, don't discount the possibility of it being a bigger, better sequel.
Directors Radio Silence will be re-teaming with original writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy, hopefully ensuring the diabolical lore of the first film is intriguingly expanded.
That's without even getting into the core narrative of the sequel, where a returning Grace (Samara Weaving) teams up with her younger sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) while participating in a new deadly game.
The wealthy elites hunting the duo down this time are amusingly plucked from '90s pop culture, with the likes of Sarah Michelle Gellar, The Faculty's Shawn Hatosy, and Elijah Wood among them, while the wider cast includes Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, and even David Cronenberg.
The trailers make this look like an absolute blast, so don't discount the possibility that it one-ups what came before.
