The success of the Oscar recognised The Help has given a career boosting injection to its stars. Academy Award nominee Viola Davis, who played maid Aibileen Clark in the film, is in high demand in Hollywood, landing two roles in upcoming films Enders Game and Beautiful Creatures. At the helm of Beautiful Creatures is Richard LaGravanese (P.S. I Love You). Adapted from Margaret Stohl-Kami Garcia's book, the film follows Ethan and Leena, two teenage sweethearts who discover the mysteriously dark secrets about their families. Davis plays a librarian who is very close to Ethan, especially after the death of the boys father. Warner Bros. and Alcon are behind this film and they hold the rights to the other books in the trilogy. LaGravanese is hoping to kick off filming this April in New Orleans and if the film is a success, there is all the possibility that the two other novels will find their way to the big screen. Gavin Hood (Wolverine) will be in the directors chair for Enders Game, another novel adaptation from Orson Scott Cards 1985 sci-fi novel. The plot goes something like this: insect-like creatures threaten humanity and Ender Wiggin, a talented young man must join other young people in the military to fight the invading presence. Davis plays a psychologist designing games to test the skill of the recruits and she also looks after their mental health. Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld, Abigail Breslin, Ben Kingsley and Harrison Ford are already on board with this project to which Davis has just added her name. Enders Game is scheduled to shoot first followed by Beautiful Creatures later on in the year.
