WandaVision: 10 Biggest Questions The MCU Must Answer
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has got some explaining to do.
More than 18 months after the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home, the Marvel Cinematic Universe finally restarted in 2021 with WandaVision. The series that kicked off not only Phase Four, but the MCU's entire Disney+ slate was mysterious, completely unique, and was hugely successful from start to finish.
WandaVision may not have vindicated many of the crazy fan theories that had been popping up ever since the first two episodes dropped, with no Mephisto to be seen in Westview, but it did come to an all round solid and satisfying conclusion.
Wanda herself truly transformed into the Scarlet Witch, the Hex was brought down, and Vision, Tommy, and Billy were all taken with it. However, that isn't to say that the series finale wrapped everything up without any loose ends at all.
This is the MCU after all, and so certain threads were left to be pulled by movies and shows in the future. WandaVision left fans with plenty of questions surrounding the next few years of the franchise by teasing several upcoming projects, and leaving a handful of key characters' futures uncertain.
10. How Much Is Known About The Skrulls?
Skrulls by no means played a large role in WandaVision, but they did crop up twice during the events that took place in Westview. The most obvious of these was Nick Fury's ally telling Monica that he wanted to meet her in space as a set up for Captain Marvel 2, but the shapeshifting aliens were mentioned much earlier in the series as well.
Way back in episode four, as Jimmy Woo was trying to piece together what was happening in Westview, he wrote his thoughts all over a whiteboard. One such thought was that the Skrulls may have been involved, and could have been the ones doing this to Wanda.
This raises plenty of questions. How does Jimmy know about the Skrulls, and what interactions has he had with them in the past? Is it because of his position in the FBI that he is aware of the aliens, or are they simply common knowledge in the post-Endgame MCU?
Either way, why would Jimmy believe them to be suspects with absolutely no evidence? Are they seen as villains in the MCU, and if so, why? Hopefully these questions will all be answered in Secret Invasion on Disney+, but there is still a lot of time for theories in the meantime.
