Want To Get More Excited For Captain America: Civil War? This New Featurette Will Do The Trick

Cast and crew drop some info on Scarlet Witch and more.

In anticipation of the release of Marvel's complete Phase Two collection today, Entertainment Weekly have been gifted a clip from one of the special features included in the set. Whilst the whole featurette is evidently about Phase Three, this clip is centred around Captain America: Civil War. There are a few nuggets of info spread throughout, with some general talk about the plot and themes of the film (which we've heard about a dozen times before). We do, however, get one or two tidbits regarding the inclusion of Scarlet Witch (Elisabeth Olsen) in the film, which to my recollection we haven't really heard much about. Producer Kevin Feige says "...we see exactly how powerful she is" and Olsen chimes in to tell us " more understanding of her skills and she has... quite a great emotional journey in this one." What remains to be seen is exactly how much screen-time she'll get, as the film is hardly called 'Scarlet Witch: Civil War'. With so many characters jostling for position, it's hard to imagine it'll be a lot, but as long as she gets one or two squeal-worthy fan service moments, I'll be happy. From a comic book fan's perspective, it's interesting to have her involved in the story at all and see which side of the argument she's ended up on, as her character sat out the 2006 Civil War event (due to being on holiday at Doctor Doom's house). We'll just have to wait till next year to see which of our favourite characters get short shrift in the adaptation. Captain America: Civil War is released in the UK on 29th April 2016 and in the US on 6th May.
