Warners thinking big with TOM THUMB!

TOM THUMB which will be mostly live action but the character of Tom himself likely to be CGI. The Hollywood Reporter say Disney favourite Kevin Lima (ENCHANTED, TARZAN) will helm, with Robert Rodat (SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, THE PATRIOT) attached to scribe. WB's movie, which is being fast tracked is set to focus on the previously untold tale of his origins! It will be a comedy/adventure flick and will focus on the tragedy and heorism for a once glorious knight who has shrunk to the size of an insect. Numerous TOM THUMB adaptations have been made over the years, the most famous being the 1958 musical directed by George Pal which, because it's lead was small, was titled "tom thumb" with no capital letters...

Dating back as far as the 1500's, TOM THUMBS tale often takes him for causing mischief at home, all the way to the Camelot and King Arthur.
