Watch THE SITTER Trailer - Jonah Hill's R-Rated Adventures In Babysitting!
Like Observe & Report marked the end of a Seth Rogen era, so too does The Sitter - the December released babysitting comedy that will be the last film where Jonah Hill is the size of a whale.
Like Observe & Report marked the end of a Seth Rogen era, so too does The Sitter - the December released babysitting comedy that will be the last film where Jonah Hill is the size of a whale. As his character in Funny People so aptly joked about Rogen in a quasi-real life comment that he wasn't as funny having dropped the pounds and was kind of weird looking - Jonah Hill now has that to battle against this for the rest of his career. It's true that people laugh loudest at fat comedians and although he's much healthier and is going to live a lot longer, it will be interesting to see how he adapts and what kind of roles he takes in the future. I mean can you imagine the challenges John Candy would have faced for his career if he had shed the weight? Would he have been able to take on the roles he did previously? As you can see in the opening to the trailer and then the trailer itself, Hill looks like a completely different person. The Sitter then looks to be a raunchier R-Rated version of the 80's classic Adventures in Babysitting as Hill plays a slacker who hasn't got a job (though he is good at cunnilingus... shame he can't get paid for that) before he takes up looking after kids then it goes all thriller comedy crazy and it surprisingly comes from former Indie favourite now commercial director David Gordon Green, his second feature film of 2011 after Your Highness. With Your Highness coming to Blu-ray in the U.K. on Monday, we actually had time to speak to Green last week about his thoughts on why Your Highness didn't catch the audience we expected it too, the problems and the challenges he faced with the swords, sorcery, magic and obscene profanity film and a little about The Sitter and his upcoming projects. Look out for that tomorrow on WhatCulture! but for now enjoy The Sitter, which badly needs a better quality trailer transfer; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoAKqNsTkzI Two things of note from the trailer; Can someone explain to be why the film turns into a Pineapple Express/Date Night situation with Hill on the run from some drug dealers, or something? I'm not sure that was explained too well. Love to know more of what Sam Rockwell's got to deliver! I'm a big fan of Pineapple Express and Green looks to be tapping into the humour and situations that worked for him there. I'm curious about this one..
