What Do Captain Marvel's Skrulls Mean For The MCU?

1. Fantastic Four

While the Skrulls are making their debut in Captain Marvel, they're more directly linked to other Marvel characters - namely, the Fantastic Four, in whose comic they made their Marvel Universe debut.

Marvel Studios have the rights to use Skrulls in general, hence why they're in the movie, but more specific names like the Super-Skrull Kl'rt belong to 20th Century Fox, alongside the Fantastic Four. And with Disney purchasing the company, those rights will soon be Marvel's to use as they see fit.

With the Skrulls introduced now, there's a solid foundation to build upon for the Fantastic Four's arrival in a few years (depending on how badly Kevin Feige wants to fast-track them into the MCU, but the current indication is Marvel will take their time). I mean, is it a coincidence that there are *four* Skrulls pictured here?

What do you think about the Skrulls' arrival in the MCU? Let us know down in the comments.
