Going to the movies has become a sacred pastime, and one that requires several things to go right in order for it to be an enjoyable experience. When one of those factors is disrupted, it throws a wrench into the entire production. Even when things seem to be going right, they can immediately go so, so wrong. You arrive at the theater, snacks in hand (or hidden in your girlfriend's purse), and as you round the corner into the auditorium, you breathe a sigh of relief. The theater is empty. You find the perfect seats (middle of the row, near the top but not
too far) and patiently wait for the lights to dim and the previews to start. Then, before you know it, a group of loud, obnoxiously tall teenagers sit in the seats
directly in front of you and begin updating their Facebook statuses on their phones. To top it all off, they've brought the loudest snacks known to man. Seriously, who brings potato chips into a matinee? Let's face it. Sometimes the trip to the theater can be total crap, even if the movie's good. The ambience counts for at least half of the experience, and if something disruptive happens during the film, I'm more likely to remember that than what's on the screen. Whether it be because of screaming toddlers, someone kicking your chair, or those chip eating tweens talking their way through your movie, we want to know: what was your worst movie-going experience?
