What Would A True The Dark Knight Sequel Have Looked Like?

1. The Ending Would Remain The Same

The ending to The Dark Knight Rises, which sees Bruce Wayne getting a happy ever after ending with Selina Kyle, is one of the most talked-about aspects of the movie (somewhere between Tom Hardy's voice and just how Batman got back to Gotham).

Even with the Joker in the movie, though, it's quite likely we'd have been given the same ending. David S. Goyer has previously revealed that he and Chris Nolan came up with that ending in the fall of 2008, and that it was exactly the same as the one that made it into the movie - it was just the villain that was undecided.

So instead of Bane you can have the Joker and/or Talisa wreaking havoc on Gotham, but Bruce still gets his happy ending and Batman still becomes a symbol of hope.

Would you have wanted a Dark Knight sequel featuring the Joker? What do you think would've happened? Let us know down in the comments.
