Who Kills Thanos? - Predicting Avengers: Infinity War's Climax
Who could strike the killer blow?
Though it won't come to its end until the credits roll on 2019's Avengers 4, we're in sight of the end of the Thanos Saga in the MCU. It just so happens that before that point, there's probably a lot of blood, sweat and tears to be shed as he tries to rebalance the universe in the most devastating way possible.
Ultimately - if the model for the MCU's previous films is anything to go by - Thanos will fall. Sure, he might take more heroes (and collateral damage) with him than any villain before him, but at some point his reign of terror will come to a sharp end. Frankly, it's more likely than not that the hand (or hands) that swing that final, killer blow belong to a character we've come to be familiar with over the past ten years. And that sort of speculation is part of the hype that's pushed Infinity War and Avengers 4 to the top of every list of the most anticipated movies.
Sadly, it won't be Deadpool, on account of the former rights issues, and he's not the only Marvel face who we can be fairly sure won't kill Thanos at the end of Avengers 4...
Who Definitely Won't
Through a combination of being dead meat (Vision, Captain America, possibly War Machine) or just not being a sensible option (Black Panther, Spider-Man, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Star-Lord, and Rocket), there are quite a few heroes heading into Infinity War who won't kill Thanos.
There's also the supporting characters - Nick Fury, Pepper Potts, Wong, Falcon, even Mantis and Kraglin - who are too minor or too silly a choice to really be considered. So that wipes out a fair chunk of the main heroic cast. But there are genuinely lots of option for who could take the Mad Titan down.
So, now on to who actually could...
