Who Kills Thanos? - Predicting Avengers: Infinity War's Climax
8. Good Old Fashioned Team-Work
If the Civil War storyline and the long-bubbling friction between Cap and Iron Man has been leading to anything, it's the idea that heroes are stronger together. And as much as that would be borrowing a central message from the new Planet Of The Apes franchise, it's where the MCU has been headed from almost the first day.
After all, the whole idea of an Avengers TEAM relies on the idea that they would be better together and that's very much been part of the marketing for Infinity War. Remember the opening voice-over for the first trailer? It was precisely pitched to remind us of the importance of their union.
At the end, it would make sense that Thanos will only be taken down by a combination of whoever survives Thanos’ rise and initial attacks. He’s not a typical threat and even though there are powerful individuals, his defeat matching the overall idea behind the MCU is the perfect poetic resolution.
