Who's visiting THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT?

Monica Potter & Tony Goldwyn cast in Rogue Pictures remake of the inventive Wes Craven horror.

Have you ever seen Wes Craven's debut movie The Last House on the Left?

I've only become accustomed to it in the last year or so, it's a really nasty and horrifying horror movie. It's unsettling. The film is about escaped convicts who take two teenage girls hostage and contains at least 30 minutes of the most brutal and shocking dehumanizing of film characters you will ever see in your life. Forget the torture porn movies that are plaguing our cinema screens right now. This one is the real deal...

Man, I hope they keep that advertising campaign for the remake.

We've known for a while now that Wes Craven was receiving a nice wad of cash for allowing his most disturbing horror movie to be remade, just like he did a few years ago with The Hills Have Eyes.

Variety say that Monica Potter (from Along Came A Spider) and Tony Goldwyn (The Last Samurai) have been cast, probably as the parents of the two girls.

David Iliadis will be making his Hollywood directing debut with the picture which will shoot this month in South Africa. Can it be possibly be as disturbing as the original?
