Why Avengers: Secret Wars Is Perfect For MCU Phase 4

9. There's Already Some Groundwork

If you've been paying attention to more recent MCU movies, you'll notice that there's definitely more talk of multiverses and alternate dimensions thanks to the arrivals of Ant-Man and Doctor Strange. On top of that both Thor: The Dark World and Guardians Of The Galaxy (to a lesser extent) played with the idea of other realms and there's definitely enough establishing work in there for a multiverse event not to come completely out of the blue.

And it's not like we wouldn't have more of a build of that in the unannounced Phase 4 movies. Certainly Ant-Man & The Wasp will delve more into the multiverse thanks to the Quantum Realm being a key part of the story and intriguingly Captain Marvel is said to have a similar focus on the same realm. Surely this ramp up of mutliverse elements is leading somewhere?
