Why Movies Were Just Better In The 1990s

The star power of a lead actor can work wonders in the promotion of a film, as even if the said piece was absolutely terrible, having a big name on the poster meant that many would go see the flick just to get a glimpse of their favourite heartthrob no matter what piece of fluff they were put in. The '90s were no exception to this, and saw the reign of some of the most iconic actors of all time.

Whether it was action stars with muscles so big that they looked ready to explode, such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, or the likes of Jennifer Aniston showing us the pinnacle of '90s fashion, the 1990s were ruled by iconic actors who are still household names to this day in their defining roles.

Comedic actors such as Robin Williams and Jim Carrey also dominated the decade, churning out consistently brilliant comedies over those ten years which are still fondly remembered today.

Many now-legendary actors also made their big-screen debuts during that time, including the likes of Kate Winslet, James Franco, and Steve Carell.
