Why the 0% Rotten Tomatoes score for STREET FIGHTER is bad news for us...

(read the RT reviews here) o2rjpojpor Because it's the first released film from Hollywood's hottest young scribe Justin Marks, the writer who has gotten greenlights for a new MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, VOLTRON HACK/SLASH and the Green Arrow movie SUPER MAX. Sure... it's not just Marks' fault this movie has failed so miserably, it's a combination of everything. Since day one, we have pretty much torn the movie apart for bad creative decisions after bad creative decisions. The biggest of course being to focus on the character of Chun Li and making it a Kristin Kreuk starring vehicle. But from what I've heard... STREET FIGHTER has VERY LITTLE to do with the STREET FIGHTER video game franchise. I.E... no tournaments, no fights on streets and only a handful of characters that carry barely any of the traits from the video game. Which isn't good news for those hoping for faithful adaptations of the other franchises Marks' has written scripts for.
