2. Oscar - Shark Tale

Shark Tale was the first movie I remember seeing in the cinema and going “nope, nadda, not for me”.

I mean, it was early-naughties Dreamworks, so it was never going to be anything all that amazing, but f*ck me. Shark Goodfellas? Whale wash? The most hackneyed of “This is how Pixar do it, right?” plots?

Smith’s exuberance should really work in a kids film, but he’s so unbearable here, unlikeable, over the top and - while this isn’t part of the acting - horribly designed. The whole movie’s garbage, but it’s his performance that’s the most grating. What makes it all the more irritating is they seemed to actually have fun making this cr*p.
