Will we hold a GRUDGE against this choice for Wonder Woman?

Reports say Wonder Woman will be...

Sorry for those hoping that The Grudge star Sarah Michelle Geller had been cast as Wonder Woman. That headline above might have got you excited and ya know, if Joss Whedon was still making a stand-alone feature then she might have been the one but not this time. Thanks to Lello, in our talkback section for pointing this story out to us. Adelaide Now are reporting that Aussie actress Teresa Palmer (who we already know auditioned) has been cast as Wonder Woman in the Justice League of America movie. That's the role that Jessica Biel turned down some months back and if true, is the first casting on what is surely the most talked about upcoming film of the year. Remarkably, more so than Indiana Jones IV and The Dark Knight, although I think if everyone had the choice of seeing any of those three movies tomorrow night (if you imagine they were all complete) then I'm sure everyone would choose either Indy or Bats.

Palmer is 21, from South Australia and has only six IMDB credits to her name. Her first appearance in film was only two years ago in Wolf Creek (as an extra really) and then she has since gone on to have very small roles in The Grudge 2, December Boys and next year's comedy/drama Kids in America, where she co-stars with her boyfriend Venom (aka Topher Grace). Palmer's friend, is said to have broken the news...
"Teresa rang me all excited to tell me at 2am this morning," Palmer's pal said. "Apparently they're going to have her fitted out with a black wig rather than dye her hair."
After the recent Superman casting story, we of course shouldn't take this as anything more than rumor at this point, though we do know she must be in the running after auditioning for the part. She is of course very young at 21. Four full years younger than Biel and well, if she had a great audition than good luck to her. I would far rather Miller cast someone we don't know who had an awesome audition than someone like Biel, who they chased after because of her star name. She is though very young looking and, well, very Australian...
