Wolverine vs. Darth Maul: Fantasy Match-Up
Fighting Skill: Logan is 130 years old and has been fighting his entire life. He has fought in every major war, including WW1 and WW2. In that time, he has mastered basically every fighting style known to man and integrated them into a seamless style best suited for his abilities and his blades. Darth Maul was born into a violent, dark culture and bred from an early age to master battle. He's focused much of his Sith training in the art of Juyo, which uses his hate to power his physical skills. Darth Maul stood before two highly trained Jedi's and executed a very tactical fighting withdrawal until he separated them for defeat, mixing his swordplay with traditional striking. He was only cut in half because of his gloating over Obi-Wan clinging for dear life (and poor writing, but hey!). Advantage: Push The Mental Battle: The users of the Force have the ability to react and predict events and actions before they happen. A perfect example of this is Luke parrying the small laser attacks of the combat drone with the blast shields of his helmet down. He sensed the attacks before they were coming. Darth Maul did not spend much of his early training in the mental aspects of the Force, such as the greater art of Dun Moch, the ability sapping the courage and strength from his opponent's psyche. Let's say for a moment Darth Maul was engaging Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon in a simultaneous psychic battle in their midst of their lightsaber duel, wouldn't that immediately shift the advantage to the Sith assassin as Wolverine has no training in the Force? No, not really. Wolverine is prepared for that tactic. He has an innate resistance to telepathic assault and mind control on behalf of his healing factor AND psionic shields implanted by Professor X. This would in effect leave him unreadable by a Force user and make their contest one purely of physical ability and skill. Advantage: Push Click "Next" for the Weaponry Category
