2. Wolverine Awakes X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014)
Its Wolverines most recent outing but for him, it was a blast from the past. Once more taking centre stage for X-Men: Days of Future Past, it seems the entire fate of the mutant race rests on Wolverines shoulders. After the development of the Sentinels, mutants have been hunted across the globe. Their own powers turned against them thanks to Trasks dynamically-adapting machines, theres only one way to save the future by travelling to the past. Intending to put a stop to the fight before it even begins, the X-Men hatch a cunning plan to destroy the Sentinel programme before it becomes too powerful, and it seems Wolverine is the only one who can withstand the traumatic time-travelling journey. Sending him back to 1973 to prevent Mystiques DNA from falling into the wrong hands, Wolverine awakes in his younger body, just as a number of thugs burst into his room. Its quite the baptism of fire and hurls Wolverine right into the action. But it seems he doesnt yet have those signature Adamantium claws just yet.
