1. Ares Is An Actual Giant

The Rumour: Earlier in the year, the LEGO toy sets for Wonder Woman began leaking out, with one depicting Diana battling a gigantic version of Ares who stood many times taller and larger than her. In terms of scale, it suggested Ares' final form would tower at around the 20 foot mark.

The Truth: Thankfully this wasn't the case, and though Ares still ended up being larger than Diana, it was a few feet at most and therefore much more believable and less silly than straight-up making him into a giant.

Sure, Ares was still a CGI blur for big portions of the final battle, but blowing him up to a comical stature likely would've made the third act even less involving, so that was gratefully avoided.
