7. They Don't Know That

Going back to the new weapon devised by Doctor Poison, only now she's really perfected it. When the high-ranking officers of the German army plan to go ahead with the Armistice despite Ludendorff's protestations, the General has a plan to make sure he gets his way and the war will continue.

He tosses a canister of the gas into the room and promptly locks them inside, but not before throwing in a single gas mask for them to fight (and potentially kill) each other over.

Of course, as Poison notes, the mask will do nothing, to which Ludendorff replies "But they don't know that." It's a particularly sinister moment, with yet another super dark and eerie shot of a gas mask, but what really caps it off as being WTF is the way the pair of them proceed to giggle afterwards like a pair of over-the-top villains from a cartoon sketch.
